The agreement said it will be paid on the 16th May 2022.

The payment was made on 16 May 2022 in line with the agreement signed.

The banking system is doing its checks.

The agreement refers to payment and not to cleared funds.

Of course, the Rent Repayment Order in law is a deterrent for landlords.

IT IS NOT COMPENSATION FOR TENANTS – as per case law.

The Rent Repayment Order has been stated by the appropriate Tribunal Judges as a “Windfall for Tenants”.For the tenants who are receiving this windfall, waiting until 7.32pm tonight on the 17th May is not good enough.

Their solicitor is already screaming BREACH.

Rent Repayment Orders are awarded for not having a HMO Licence when you need one or Selective Licence when you need one, Illegal Evictions and Tenant Harrassment as the main reasons, there are others, such as Not complying with an Improvement Notice or Not complying with a Planning Enforcement Notice or Breaching a Banning Order.
